
In Paris, Saarbrücken and Karlsruhe he passed his exams for "Artistic Organ Performance" and "Improvisation" with distinction. Furthermore, he was awarded two scholarships from the region North Rhine - Westphalia; one of these offered him a privilege to attend "The International Organ Academy at the Altenberg Cathedral". Christoph Keller has been taking an active part in various master courses, such as those of Ludger Lohmann, Wolfgang Rübsam, Jon Laukvik, Pierre Cogen, Wolfgang Seifen and Jean Guillou; these valuable experiences have been an asset to his further inspiration and enhanced his artistic and technical performance.
From 1985 until 2001, Christoph Keller was engaged as a musical director and organist in the Catholic St. Mary´s Church in Neunkirchen, Saarland. Since then he has been working as a freelance artist. From 2005 until 2009, he was engaged as an organist at the historic Stumm organ of the Huguenot's Church in Ludweiler/Warndt.
In January 2011 Christoph Keller has been appointed as the Musical Director of the catholic church St. Lutwinus in Mettlach, Germany, where he is responsible for the choirs and music ensembles of three parishes as well as the organization of all musical events and recitals.
Christoph Keller is the Artistic Director of the "International Organ Recitals at the Historic Stumm Organ at Ludweiler", as well as the Artistic Director of the "Verein zur Förderung der Kirchenmusik an der Kath. Kirche zu St. Michael in Saarbrücken e.V." and the international recitals which are projected in near future. Furthermor, he is the Artistic Director of the Carillon at Saarland's capital Town Hall.
His emphasis aims at - in addition to organ works of Johann Sebastian Bach, César Franck and Louis Vierne - discoveries of unknown but precious organ works and thus at the extension of the general organ repertoire. In 2009 he has performed the complete organ works by Hubert Parry.
Christoph Keller is a member of the "American Guild of Organists".
